The capital of Cagayan boasts of the biggest Cathedral in the north, the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral and the only church in the province that is elevated from the ground, the San Jacinto Church built in 1724.
Callao Tourist Zone
Famous for the seven-chambered Callao Caves, tourists can also experience kayaking in the Class I-II rapids of the picturesque Pinacanauan River, get wet passing by boat through the “Mororan” and watch the circadian flight bats at about 6:00 PM.
Our Lady of Piat Basilica
Originally from Macau, the patroness of Cagayan Valley housed at the Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Piat, has become the religious fulcrum of people wanting for favors of any kind. Calvary Hills
Its 14 bigger-than-life stations of the Cross look Out to the mighty Cagayan River and stand behind the Iguig Church, the only centuries-old church with flying buttresses behind it in the Philippines.
